Tips before starting facade work in high rise building

Before starting any facade work in high rise building:
1- survey as built for slab edge and level to be submitted to facade subcontinent and to be confirm.
2- handover certificate to signed by facade subcontinent and main contractor for every level.

SBG Achievement 50 million safe man Hours in KAFD Project, Riyadh

On 13 Jaunary 2014, Saudi Binladen Group Achieved  50 million Safe man hours in King Abdulla Financial District Project, Riyadh Saudi Arabia, One of the digest project in the world.

Today 17 March 2014 distribution of the award for this achievement.

Coordination for FACADE Work

The following are the main important points to be prepared and Hand over to FACADE subcontractors:


  • As Built survey for slab edge - All floor.
  •  Levels every floor.
  • Survey control points.
  • verification of Levels and location of embedded Facede brackets
  • storage location for Facade panels.
  • offices and tools  storage -  As per contract.
  • Life line rope - As per contract
  • Cradles - As per contract.
  • Erection of Scaffolding-As per contract.
FACADE  subcontractor have to submit the followings;
  • Method of statement.
  • Panels delivery schedules.
  • Direct and indirect Manpower.
  • All documents related to MIR during materials delivery.
  • Pull test report by 3rd. party.
And during construction:
  • Mock up to be prepared for each type of Facade or as per contract.
  • Pressure test by 3rd. party to be passed.
  
More site support to be given to FACADE subcontractor to push his progress and this means IPC amount will be increased.

Logistic before & during Construction of Multistory buldings

Before and during construction of multistory building there is so many things to be considered and studied carefully  to maintain proper logistic during construction period

  1. Number and location of Towers cranes to cover all the area of the parcel and the boundary.
  2. Numbers and locations of placing booms to cover all the areas of the parcel.
  3. Location of stationary pump.
  4. Numbers and locations of the Hoist.
  5. Locations of Garbage Chute.
  6. Loading plate form for Facade panels  and other materials.
  7. Temporary ventilation system at basements
  8. Numbers and locations of toilets as per standard.
  9. Locations of septic tank
  10. Drinking waters.
  11. Tower Crane support to be ready before every jumping.
  12. office at location not affecting the progress.
